4. Unauthorized Teardown and Disassembly Under no circumstances is a customer, independent mechanic, or third-party shop permitted to tear down, disassemble, or open the engine assembly. Any unauthorized teardown will result in the immediate and permanent voiding of this warranty. Permissible maintenance exceptions under this clause are strictly limited to future routine checking of engine timing and standard valve adjustments.
5. Warranty Void Conditions This Limited Warranty shall be deemed null and void if engine or transmission failure is determined by Oregon Precision Powersports to be the result of any of the following conditions:
Tampered Warranty Seals: Broken, removed, or altered warranty seals. All Oregon Precision Powersports engines are staked and sealed prior to shipment.
Overheating: Operation beyond safe thermal limits. All engines are equipped with a proprietary heat indicator tag affixed to the cylinder head. The warranty is void if this tag registers an overheat condition, is tampered with, or is removed.

Improper Preventative Maintenance: Failure to perform routine maintenance, including regular scheduled oil changes or the use of incorrect, unapproved lubricants.
Lack of Lubrication: Engine or transmission failure directly caused by oil starvation or failure to verify and maintain proper fluid levels.
Foreign Debris or Liquid Ingress: Damage caused by dirt or dust ingestion through the intake system ("dusted engine"), or water ingestion/flooding.
Third-Party Components: Damage or failure proximately caused by the malfunction of a customer-installed aftermarket or OEM part.
Unauthorized Modifications: Any customer modifications proven to have compromised the integrity of the engine or caused subsequent damage.
Inbound Shipping Damage: Damage sustained during transit to our facility resulting from improper packaging or insufficient shipping methods by the customer.
Abuse or Neglect: Any clear and obvious misuse, abuse, or neglect proven to be the cause of catastrophic failure.
