Bulletproof Your Drivetrain: The Sandcraft Transmission Reliability Trio

Out here in the Pacific Northwest, our terrain doesn't do "easy." From the deep sands of Oregon Dunes to the punishing rock trails of the Cascades, your machine’s transmission is constantly under siege. Factory components simply aren't built to handle that kind of punishment.

At Oregon Precision Powersports, we don’t believe in waiting for a breakdown to cut your weekend short. That’s why we highly recommend upgrading to Sandcraft’s race-engineered transmission components. Whether you're doing a preventative refresh or a full rebuild, these three upgrades are absolute essentials.

Hassle-Free Shipping Program: We cover all the shipping costs to get your transmission to our facility, and once our expert technicians have completed the repair and upgrades, we ship it right back to your door. It's all covered!

1. Sandcraft Heavy-Duty Transmission Seal Kit

Noticeable oil spots under your axles or output shaft? Don't let a leaky factory seal ruin your bearings and gears.

  • The Sandcraft Advantage: Born from years of aggressive R&D, these are the most durable, highest heat-rated seals on the market.

  • Precision Fit: Engineered to perfectly match your machine, keeping vital lubrication inside and destructive PNW mud, dust, and water out.

2. Sandcraft Upgraded Transmission Bearing Kit

Stock bearings are notorious for failing under heavy loads, oversized tires, and high heat.

  • The Sandcraft Advantage: There is simply no comparison between flimsy OEM bearings and this heavy-duty kit. Derived from years of championship racing, they are designed to handle extreme abuse.

  • Ride Longer: Keep your machine running smoother, quieter, and cooler, preventing catastrophic internal failures.

3. Sandcraft 1-Piece Billet Steel Shift Pawl

Your factory roller pawl is a ticking time bomb. Under aggressive shifting, the OEM roller pawl frequently shatters, sending razor-sharp steel debris directly into your transmission gears. While the drain plug magnet might catch some pieces, more often than not, it results in a completely destroyed transmission.

  • The Sandcraft Advantage: Machined from a single piece of 1018 Billet Steel, this indestructible shift pawl completely eliminates the weak OEM roller design.

  • Pro-Tip from the OPP Shop: If you pull your drain plug and find steel rollers or rivet debris stuck to the magnet, your factory pawl is already gone. Don't wait for total transmission failure—upgrade to the Sandcraft Shift Pawl before it breaks.

    Looking for Even More Performance?

Beyond standard rebuilds, the team at Oregon Precision Powersports can completely transform how your machine puts power to the ground. We offer a variety of elite upgrades including custom gear reductions and heavy-duty case replacements to handle massive tires and maximum horsepower.

Protect your investment and ride with confidence. Whether you need to grab these parts for a garage project or want our expert technicians to handle the install and gear work, Oregon Precision Powersports has you covered.

Preparing your Engine or Transmission for Shipping.

Preparing your Engine for Shipping.

Once you have pulled your engine out of your machine its time to get it ready to ship to us.

  1. Remove as much as you are comfortable with.  Remove all hoses, oil cooler, and oil filter. If you have a turbo engine remove the turbo and header.
  2. We need you to ship the side cover that covers the stator assembly. We will need that to make sure it matches the rest of your engine when we soda blast and paint it. We understand not everyone has the abilities to pull the flywheel and stator assemblies. Not a problem. You can leave all that on. But if you pull it, pull the stator out of the side cover and ship us the cover.
  3. We will provide you with all the gaskets and seals you need to re-assemble everything.
  4. We ask you try to get as much oil out of the engine as you can.
  5. Once that's all complete please double wrap your engine with at least 2 trash bags to help keep any left over oil in the bags as possible. No matter how much oil you get out there's always more.
  6. Locate a good heavy duty box or tote that allows enough room for protective packing materials around all 6 sides.
  7. Package up your engine making sure it's safe and secure.
  8. Apply the pre-paid shipping label provided from us to the top and drop it off at your local shipping location.
